Sometimes we think to ourselves: what’s the point of talking to a therapist if I could just talk to a friend? In this video, we give some examples of how talking to a therapist is different from talking to a friend. While we encourage friendships and having a support system outside of therapy, having a non-biased, trained professional to talk to can make a huge difference. A therapist has years of training and will help validate you, challenge you, and guide you to set goals for your growth.
